Title: Ink Rocker Year Created: Fall, 2003 Medium: Technical Pen Width: 9 inches Height: 12 inches Theme: Still Life Edition Size: Original Description: Created in Koh-i-Noor technical pens, this piece is in a series of sketches using the technique of "loose inking." The wicker rocking chair was created mostly using clusters of hatched lines. In places where there is an actual color difference in the rocker weave pattern, a larger nib pen was used. A symmetrical weave pattern was used used for the top backrest of the rocker because that is the way that the rocker is actually made. Nib sizes in this piece varied from 4x0 to 2. |
