Title: Charlie Year Created: Fall, 2003 Medium: Technical Pen Width: 9 inches Height: 12 inches Theme: People Edition Size: Original Description: Created in Koh-i-Noor technical pens, this piece is the second in a series of sketches using the technique of "loose inking." Charlie was primarily created in crosshatched lines which provides a significant amount of control over texture and tonality. His vest was given a symmetrical weave pattern for variety and his hair was created from randomly scribbled lines. His shoes were shaded in using the technical pen much in the same way that a pencil would create shading. This piece was created using a variety of nib sizes from 6x0 to 0. |
